Enter the Alberta Junior Handlers' Draw

The Alberta Junior Handlers are pleased to offer a Miniature Doll House as their upcoming raffle. Tickets will be on sale throughout the AKC August weekend and then again at the Calgary CKOC November set of shows. The draw date will be Nov 28, 2010 at CKOC.

Con Klassen spent his retirement years lovingly handcrafting each house individually. Designs range from log cabins to a complete country village and a dairy farm. Each of the houses came with furniture and the back of the doll house is completely open so that furniture can be re arranged. The bathroom is even complete with a linoleum floor, toilet and shower.

This work of art is only one of Con's many pieces. It is in mint condition and was only used for displays although built  approximately twenty-five years ago. Some of Con's doll houses have been appraised by collectors at $1,000.00.

It is so sad that Con Klassen is no longer with us to see the joy that he has brought to so many people who now have his doll houses.

We wish to send our sincere gratitude to Shirley Zimmerman, Con's daughter, for so generously donating this doll house to the Alberta Junior Handling fund-raising team.
